Zimm Zamm was one of my families favorite games back in the 70's.  My sisters and I have many fond memories of playing it for hours.  As an adult I work with youth on a full-time basis and thought that Zimm Zamm would be a great game for the kids I work with.  However, I could not find it in any stores.  I finally found a company that makes the same game, but under a different brand and name.  However, I still could not find it in stores and they would only sell me multiple cases.  Well in order to get a couple games, I had to purchase a few cases.  I found however, that many people wanted these games, so I have started selling them myself.  I have sold many of these games on Ebay since I first found them and I am now making them available through the rest of the web.

What is Zimm Zamm?

Zimm Zamm is a popular tether tennis game from the 70's and early 80's.  It was made by Mattel, but was discontinued in the 80's.  Zimm Zamm is the product name for Mattel's version of tether tennis.  Tether tennis is similar to tetherball, where you hit a ball around a pole, but in tether tennis you use rackets to hit a tennis ball on a tether which is connected to a swivel or spring on the pole.  Both players attempt to hit the ball in opposite directions causing the tether to wind up or down the spring.  The winner is the one who hits the ball around the pole enough times to cause the tether to either climb the spring to the top or to the bottom depending on the direction they are hitting it.  In Europe they had a similar popular game called swingball.

What we offer.

We sell tether tennis sets which play like the original Zimm Zamm from the past.  We also have replacement balls and rackets that can be used for the original game or for this new modern version.  This new modern version of Tether Tennis does have some advantages over the original.  First of all the tether can be set on the spring for a competition game, or you it can be set on the swivel for practice.  It also comes in a convenient carry case.  Best of all you can still get the new game while you may have to pay over $100 to get an original off from eBay and often the balls have dried up and do not work anymore.
